What is recorded
- Each request to the model: model, timing, token counts, estimated cost, the Claude Code version, and the account and device ids Claude Code sends.
- Each tool Claude ran: its name and the size of each argument. File paths are kept; other values are not.
- Each plan, in full.
The text of prompts and replies is not recorded. Keeping full argument values, which can include commands and file contents, is a switch that is off by default.
