Terms of service.

The service

GateBolt records what AI agents declared they would change, reconciles it against the real diff, and keeps the result in a hash-chained ledger. It does not write code, run your agents, or review your pull requests.

Your account

You are responsible for your account, your organisation's members, and any API keys you issue. Keep keys secret; anyone holding one can write records as your organisation. Revoke a key from the dashboard if you think it has leaked.

Your data is yours

You keep all rights to the code, paths and metadata you send. We use it to operate GateBolt for you and for nothing else. See the privacy policy for exactly what is collected.

Acceptable use

Don't use GateBolt to break the law, to attack the service or other users, or to record activity you have no right to record. We may suspend an organisation that does.

What the record is, and is not

GateBolt records what a cooperating agent declares and what the diff shows. Strict mode blocks undeclared edits at the agent's editing hooks; it is not a sandbox, and a process writing files by other means can bypass it. Those changes are still recorded as undeclared. Treat the ledger as strong evidence, not as proof that nothing else happened.

Availability

The free plan is provided as-is, without a service level commitment. Enterprise agreements may include one.

Ending it

You can delete your organisation at any time, which deletes its records. We can close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and will tell you why.

Changes

We will update this page and the date above when these terms change. If a change materially affects you, we will tell account owners directly.
